Our Story

A few years ago, I went looking for a shirt.

Not an extraordinary shirt. A good one. A shirt I could wear to work - that would hold its colour through a hundred washes, drape properly across the shoulders, and not look tired by the end of a long day.

I couldn't find it.

What I found instead was a market that had quietly arranged itself into two bad options. On one side, the mass-market labels - thin fabric, loose stitching, colours that bled into the first wash. On the other, the designer labels - the same cloth, dressed up with a logo, sold for three or four times what the garment was actually worth. A man who wanted a good shirt had to either accept something that would embarrass him by evening, or pay a premium that had nothing to do with the garment and everything to do with the label.

I didn't like either choice. So I built the third one.

Agosto is that third choice. We choose our fabrics carefully, whatever the season calls for. We cut our shirts to drape well on a real man, not a mannequin. We make sure the colour stays, the fabric holds, and the fit honours the shoulders of the man wearing it. And we price our shirts honestly - not because we're cheap, but because we refuse to charge more for what is, in the end, a shirt.

We make them for the men we made them for in the first place: the doctors, the lawyers, the officers, the executives, the product managers, the chefs, the artists, the builders of businesses - men whose days are too long for a bad shirt, and whose intelligence is too sharp for a marked-up one.

If that's you, welcome. You've found what you were looking for.
